Sonos has discounted its popular and versatile Sonos Beam Gen 2 soundbar during the March Madness Sale that runs through March 29. It’s currently on sale for just $369 after $130 off in instant savings. Better yet, you can pair it with the Sonos Sub Mini for a complete mini home theater setup for just $749, since the sub is also on sale. The Beam Gen 2 is one of the best soundbars you can get for under $400 if you’re looking for something that’s compact and supports Dolby Atmos out of the box without requiring additional speakers.

Save $130 Off the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) Soundbar

The Sonos Beam Gen 2 soundbar is a 26-inch long, 5.0-channel soundbar that houses one tweeter and four mid-woofers paired with five Class-D digital amplifiers. There’s no space for a woofer, but there are three passive radiators that do a good job of enhancing the lower frequencies for natural, balanced sound. The Sonos Beam doesn’t have physical up-firing speakers but it does support Dolby Atmos. According to Sonos, “advanced processing creates phantom height channels for Dolby Atmos content to immerse you in a multidimensional soundstage.”

Some other nifty features include built-in microphones for smart functionality with voice control, room calibration using your mobile device via Trueplay, a “Speech Enhancement” setting to boost voice frequences and clarify dialogue, and both 802.11n (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and HDMI eARC connectivity.

Pair it with the Sonos Sub Mini for even bigger savings

The audio savvy knows that a single speaker isn’t enough to reproduce an entire soundstage. If you could pick only one other speaker, then a subwoofer would make the most meaningful impact, especially since the Sonos Beam doesn’t have any internal dedicated woofers. As part of the March Madness Sale, you can bundle the Sub Mini with the Beam for even bigger savings: $749 after a $250 instant discount. Despite its compact size, the Sub Mini can still powerful room-filling bass by way of two inward-facing 6″ drivers contained in a sealed (non-ported) enclosure. It features wireless connectivity so you can avoid the hassle of routing a cable back to the rest of your home theater components.

Why Sonos?

If you’re looking for an easy solution to add great sound to your home, then you’ve probably already heard of Sonos. Sonos speakers are very easy to set up, don’t take a large amount of space, and most importantly, offer distortion-free room-filling audio. They’re definitely pricier than budget options, but the sound quality is comparable to speakers that cost hundreds more or take up much more space.
