Multiple injured, six taken to hospitals following floor collapse at Tamworth wedding venue
Six people were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries following a floor collapse at a wedding venue in Tamworth Saturday evening, according to the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
Initial reports online described the incident as a “mass casualty” event. State authorities, who are leading the investigation into the collapse, confirmed there were no fatalities.
At around 6:18 p.m., members of the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office responded to the venue on Philbrick Neighborhood Road.
Their investigation remained “active and ongoing,” with no further updates available as of 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
