BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — New York band partygirl is scheduled to play Bloomington on Wednesday, March 18, as part of its March tour, with a show at Blockhouse Bar alongside local acts Swan Wash and High Dooms. Public event listings show the concert at Blockhouse, 205 S. College Ave., with a $10 cover and start time listed around 8 to 9 p.m. depending on the calendar posting.

The band, led by Pagona Kytzidis, described its sound in a message to The Bloomingtonian as “maximalist rock,” pointing to a six-piece lineup that blends traditional rock instrumentation with saxophone and violin. The group said its music emphasizes both a dense, analog “wall of sound” and a cathartic, storytelling approach to performance.

partygirl’s own tour schedule lists Bloomington as a stop between Chicago on March 17 and Columbus, Ohio, on March 19, part of a small Midwest run this week.

Promoters and event listings describe Wednesday’s bill as a night of genre-bending rock music, pairing the Brooklyn group with Bloomington-based bands Swan Wash and High Dooms. Blockhouse’s website lists doors and show details for the March 18 performance, and a social media update tied to the show said doors would open at 9 p.m. after jazz night.
