New deputy chiefs bring decades of experience to Beloit Police Department
The Beloit Police and Fire Commissioners have confirmed two men as Deputy Chiefs to serve alongside the department’s new Police Chief Schonella Stewart.
A new proposal to unify fire and EMS systems between the City of Beloit, Town of Beloit, and South Beloit comes at a moment of upheaval for fire departments across all three Beloit-area communities.
The City of Beloit and Town of Beloit have entered into a one-year cost-sharing agreement to share fire and EMS services, with the City providing battalion chiefs and an additional ambulance to the Town.
