I-39 reconstruction in Cherry Valley: Lanes to shift, expect traffic impacts

The Illinois Department of Transportation is set to begin a $125.9 million reconstruction project of Interstate 39 through Cherry Valley, which will expand the interstate from four to six lanes, replace several bridges, and add an additional auxiliary lane, with an expected completion date of 2028.
