Barnesville man accused of cutting phone lines to PSP Hazleton barracks

WEST HAZLETON – A Barnesville man is facing charges, accused of cutting the phone lines to the Hazleton state police barracks.

Daniel Igo, 38, of Barnesville is facing felony theft, receiving stolen property, and criminal mischief charges filed by the State Police at Hazleton.

According to troopers, the State Police at Hazleton barracks on Dessen Drive in West Hazleton lost phone service on Monday, March 2.

The Verizon phone lines on Dessen Drive were cut, troopers said, and 150 feet of copper wire had been stolen.

Troopers said the barracks lost emergency phone service for several days.

Igo was identified as the suspect and arrested on felony theft charges.

He was arraigned and released on $20,000 unsecured bail.
