BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — March 4, 2026
The Buskirk-Chumley Theater announced two new events Wednesday, with tickets now available through local presales for comedian Paula Poundstone and the Cosmic Songwriter Festival 2026.
Poundstone is scheduled to perform Friday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater. A local presale began Wednesday with the code COMEDY26, while the public onsale opens Friday, March 6 at 10 a.m., according to the theater.
Poundstone is known for observational comedy and improvisational audience interaction. She hosts the weekly podcast Nobody Listens to Paula Poundstone and is a regular panelist on NPR’s Wait, Wait… Don’t Tell Me. Her credits also include multiple HBO specials and voice work as “Forgetter Paula” in Inside Out and Inside Out 2, the theater said.
The venue also announced Cosmic Songwriter Festival 2026, presented with Bloomington Roots and Cosmic Songwriter, set for Saturday, May 16 at 7 p.m. The event will feature Clayton Anderson, a Southern Indiana-raised country singer-songwriter who built an early following performing around Indiana University before winning Kenny Chesney’s “Next Big Star” competition in 2008, according to the announcement.
Tickets for the festival are available with an early discount: through March 18, patrons can use the code COSMIC to save $10, the theater said.
