Man injured in Bradford after snowmobile-truck collision

A man was seriously injured Tuesday after a truck collided with his snowmobile in Bradford, according to New Hampshire Fish and Game.

Joshua McComish, 21, of Newbury, was crossing Route 114 at a marked snowmobile trail and did not see a truck traveling north. Clayton Christie, a 42-year-old Henniker resident operating the truck, did not see McComish’s snowmobile enter the road.

Fish and Game was contacted shortly after 6:30 p.m. by State Police to report the serious crash. McComish suffered serious injuries and was taken to Concord Hospital for treatment. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.

The crash remains under investigation, but alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor, authorities said.

A series of snowmobile crashes have been reported throughout the month of February due to a surge of operators following the large amounts of snowfall.
