Violent crime in Rockford decreased for the fourth consecutive year in 2025, with the Rockford Police Department reporting a 16.5% decrease in violent offenses, as well as a decrease in homicides, shootings, aggravated assaults, and robberies, while property crime remained flat and auto thefts rose.
