A registered sex offender has recently changed addresses in Baxter County from within Mountain Home city limits to 621 E. Main St., apartment #112 in Gassville.Douglas Wayne Bean has registered with the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office after moving within the county. Bean has been assigned as a Level 3 sex offender for committing the crime of child enticement. Bean was also convicted for failure to register in April of 2004 in Baxter County, December of 2004 in Craighead County and May of 2011 in the city if Rogers, AR. In addition, documentation indicates that he was arrested on September 17, 2010 for failure to register in Benton County and on September 30, 2013 for Failure to Register in Marion County, although there are no dispositions shown on either of those two arrests.
Bean is currently not wanted by law enforcement. This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather it is the sheriff’s belief an informed public is a safer public. This information cannot be used to threaten, intimidate or harass registered sex offenders. Citizen abuse will not be tolerated. Such abuse could potentially end law enforcement’s ability to do community notification.
