Investigators say a fight broke out on the lower level of the mall before the shooting. Witnesses said they saw a large group of young people in the area and that they ran away after shots were fired.
A man was brought to the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the hip.
Two juveniles were arrested shortly after the shooting, but the suspected shooter is still at large. He is described as a small build Asian man who was wearing a black stocking hat, a black jacket and black pants.
The two juveniles were booked into Ramsey County Jail on suspicion of third-degree riot.
Anyone with information on the shooting or video of the shooting can reach out to Lieutenant Michael Hoemke at 651-249-2605 or email at michael.hoemke@maplewoodmn.gov.
