Police chase crash involved teen
On Friday, the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office tried to stop a car that was reported stolen from Minneapolis, but the teenage driver drove off and lost control of the vehicle, a crash report from the Minnesota State Patrol says.
The deputy had his emergency equipment activated when the 15-year-old drove off, losing control of the Kia near U.S. Highway 10 and Sherburne County Road 11 in Becker Township. He went off-road and rolled.
The report notes that the road was dry at the time of the crash.
The teen was taken to CentraCare Children’s Hospital. It’s unclear at this time the extent of his injuries.
