The Board accepted multiple personnel changes including several retirements, resignations, a transfer and a contract unfulfillment.
Among the changes; CFO Leah Cotter, high school teacher Kim Fowler and Nelson-Wilkes-Heron teacher Mary Ellen Kressin will retire at the end of the school year. High school teacher/coach Wil Norris and Communications and Teacher Licensure Coordinator Jennifer Crawford submitted resignations, with Crawford’s effective March 31.
During public comment, Mrs. Partney asked the board to support staff by reminding the community that Arkansas Code 6-17-106 protects school employees from insult or abuse, saying employees should not have to tolerate such behavior. Other board members voiced agreement.
