Another person is charged in the Feeding Our Future fraud scheme.
Fahima Mahamud faces one count of wire fraud, according to charging documents filed last week.
Court documents say that Mahamud operated a day care center in Minneapolis called Future Leaders Early Learning Center and claimed to have served thousands of meals per day under sponsorship from Feeding Our Future.

The criminal complaint notes that Future Leaders initially had modest claims that totaled less than $10,000 per month. However, by the end of 2020, the claims ballooned and, by the middle of 2021, the site claimed to serve more than 1,000 children per day.
During that time period, Future Leaders received more than $850,000 from Feeding Our Future, more than six times what the site spent on food.
Mahamud is the 79th person charged in the scam.
