Qdoba announces south-side location
Feb. 16, 2026
Qdoba is heading south for its fourth location in Sioux Falls.
The fast-casual Mexican restaurant will open in a retail center at 81st Street and Minnesota Avenue, part of a lineup of local and national retailers there that includes Jersey Mike’s Subs, Nekter Juice Bar, T-Mobile and Prime IV Hydration & Wellness.
The land was occupied for decades by Landscape Garden Centers before becoming the 81 Gardens mixed-use development.
This will be the first new Qdoba in Sioux Falls since the quick-service restaurant opened on East 10th Street about 12 years ago.
“We continue to see demand by retailers and restaurant tenants in the 85th and Minnesota area,” said Ryan Tysdal of Van Buskirk Cos., who has the development co-listed with Raquel Blount of Lloyd Cos.
“Many multi-unit operators secure their locations in east and west Sioux Falls, then begin searching on the south end of town.”
Qdoba will occupy 2,000 square feet in a drive-thru endcap that will include an outdoor patio.
“We had several tenants interested in this space and received multiple offers over the last couple years,” Tysdal said. “Drive-thru endcap spaces can be very difficult to find.”
Interior construction is expected to start soon, with Qdoba anticipated to open for business in midyear.
