Ahead of early voting Tuesday, KTLO FM 97.9 will rebroadcast recordings on Sunday night from the political forums it hosted last week for Baxter County Sheriff, Judge and Quorum Court candidates.
The broadcast will begin at 5 Sunday evening and will feature the full length forums held last Tuesday Wednesday.
The presentation will begin with the sheriff candidates, followed by the county judge candidates and then candidates for justice of the peace. Each participant was given equal time for opening and closing statements and responded to a series of questions submitted by the public and presented by moderator Heather Knight Loftis.
The sheriff’s race marks the first change in the office in 21 years, with early voting for the March 3 Preferential Primary set to begin Tuesday. Sheriff candidates included Henry Campfield, Brian Davis and Mark Hollingsworth, while incumbent County Judge Kevin Litty and challenger Eric Payne participated in the county judge portion of the forum all held at the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas. Justice of the Peace candidates participated live at KTLO last Tuesday.
