Man wanted by SPD arrested in Luzerne Co.

DRUMS – A former Shenandoah man wanted by borough police was arrested after a separate incident at a Luzerne County nursing and rehabilitation center this week.

Mark Tutko, 68, formerly of town, was arrested Tuesday.

Police in Luzerne County’s Butler Township said they were called to Kadima Luzerne, a nursing and rehabilitation center on North Hunter Highway.

Tutko is accused of grabbing a nurse’s arm while she was administering medication.

Meanwhile, Tutko was wanted by Shenandoah Borough Police on misdemeanor criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, and criminal trespass charges for an Oct. 10 incident.

He was arrested and charged with harassment for the Luzerne County incident and extradited to Schuylkill County where he was committed to Schuylkill County Prison on $1,000 bail.
