The latest Long-Term Support (LTS) release is designed to streamline media management for broadcasters, sports organizations and brand-led operations. The update focuses on making large media libraries more discoverable while accelerating remote editing workflows.
A centerpiece of the release is a new semantic search experience. Unlike traditional keyword-based systems, this search allows users to find assets based on meaning and context. This is particularly useful for teams dealing with inconsistent metadata or content tagged in multiple languages.
“With semantic search, users no longer need to know the data model, the metadata schema, or which fields were used to tag content,” said Erwan Kerfourn, Dalet Flex head of product. “They just describe what they’re looking for. This is a fundamental shift; it democratizes access to the archive.”
The system supports multilingual discovery, allowing users to combine descriptive searches with exact metadata filters such as usage rights, region or technical resolution.
The update includes significant enhancements to Dalet Xtend, the integration point for Adobe Premiere Pro. New features aim to improve mobility and reliability for editors in distributed environments:
The release introduces Dalet AI Services, providing embedded capabilities like multilingual transcription directly within the Flex environment. Dalet officials said these services serve as a bridge to “Dalia,” the company’s upcoming agentic AI solution.
Dalia is currently in live testing with early adopters and is scheduled for wide availability in the second quarter of 2026.
Beyond AI and editing, the LTS release strengthens core enterprise functions. It features improved handling of Interoperable Master Format (IMF) workflows for high-resolution and HDR deliverables. Additionally, a new web-based Ingest Portal offers scheduling tools for remote content contribution.
User interface refinements include a “Dynamic Tile View,” which allows users to adapt layouts for high-volume browsing or shot selection without opening individual previews.
“This release allows Dalet Flex to support media wherever it’s created and distributed,” said Aaron Kroger, Dalet director of product marketing. “For broadcasters, that means expanding laterally across the enterprise to support more teams, workflows and content types, without adding complexity.”
