A pedestrian crash near a Minneapolis light rail station has left one person with life-threatening injuries.
According to Minneapolis police, officers were called to 1808 Franklin Avenue East around 1:33 a.m., where they located a man near a light-rail platform with life-threatening injuries.
Police said a Jeep Liberty had left the roadway, striking the man before it crashed into the light-rail platform. According to police, the driver was not inside the vehicle when officers arrived and is believed to have left the scene of the crash.
However, a man believed to have been the driver later returned to the area and was arrested on suspicion of criminal vehicular operation.
The Minneapolis Police Department is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
