BLOOMINGTON — February 5, 2026

CDFI Friendly Bloomington (CFB) announced two new lending partnerships aimed at expanding financing for small businesses and community development projects across a 13-county region.

CFB said it is partnering with Allies for Community Business (A4CB), a Midwest-based Community Development Financial Institution, on a $50,000 loan program to help entrepreneurs within Bloomington city limits start or grow businesses, with an emphasis on the city’s Urban Enterprise Zone. A4CB offers loans ranging from $500 to $500,000 and also provides free business coaching, according to the release.

CFB also announced a $2.25 million line of credit backed by Old National Bank, German American Bank and First Financial Bank to support projects focused on affordable housing, child care and small business development in the region CFB serves.

CFB said it supports projects in Brown, Crawford, Daviess, Dubois, Greene, Jackson, Lawrence, Martin, Monroe, Morgan, Orange, Owen and Washington counties. More information is available through the borrower intake form on CFB’s website or by contacting John Zody at john@cdfifriendlybtown.org
