Frost joins the company with more than two decades of experience in the media technology sector. He previously held senior leadership positions at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Ericsson, and Tandberg Television. Most recently at AWS, Frost focused on driving the adoption of cloud-based media workflows across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
“We are delighted to welcome Simon to Appear’s executive team,” said Thomas Bostrøm Jørgensen, Appear CEO. “Simon brings an exceptional combination of strategic insight, deep industry expertise and an unwavering focus on customers. His background at AWS and Ericsson will be invaluable as we continue to evolve our portfolio and expand our international footprint.”
The appointment arrives as the media and entertainment industry increasingly balances traditional hardware-based workflows with cloud-native and hybrid architectures. At Appear, Frost will be tasked with shaping how the company markets its hardware and software offerings to help customers drive efficiencies in live production.
The company stated that Frost’s hire reflects its evolution as a publicly listed company and its commitment to strengthening leadership for long-term growth. Appear plans to continue using customer insights, gathered through initiatives like its Customer Councils, to inform its technology roadmap and market strategy.
