Infor strengthens Asia with three appointments

Infor has announced the appointment of Geoff Thomas
Sponsored
as Senior Vice President and General Manager for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ). He will report to Wolfgang Kobek, Executive Vice President and General Manager, International Business, Infor.

Thomas will be responsible for key markets across Japan, Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), Southeast & North Asia (SENA), and India. He is targeted with accelerating growth in the region. To achieve this, he intends to deepen local expertise and expand the regional partner network. He aims to provide localised, world-class customer support for Infor’s industry-specific cloud applications.

Wolfgang Kobek, Executive Vice President and General Manager, International Business, Infor, commented, “The APJ market is instrumental to Infor’s overall strategy and home to many dynamic businesses driving technological innovation and growth.

“We are dedicated to investing in our customers for long-term growth and will continue to invest in top talents, ecosystem and innovative cloud solutions that empower our customers to accelerate digital transformation and achieve long-term success in this fast-evolving region.

“Geoff is an exceptional leader with deep experience in the APJ market, and the ideal person to help our customers in the region thrive. His customer-first approach, coupled with his extensive grasp of the APJ business and ecosystem, will help Infor deliver superior value to organisations quickly and improve customer outcomes.”

Thomas strengthens regional leadership

Thomas joined Infor in October 2025 and has already added two more people to his leadership team within the region. He appointed Sydney-based Aidan Brecknell in January to lead ANZ’s charge as Vice President and Managing Director. Brecknell was previously Head of Commercial, Enterprise & Channel for the Pacific region and joined Infor in January 2025.

He also appointed Singapore-based Victor Ng as Vice President and Managing Director for SENA, a region that includes ASEAN, Greater China, and Korea. This is a promotion for Ng, who joined Infor in November 2022 as VP and Managing Director of ASEAN & Korea. He will now be responsible for driving growth across a larger geography.

Thomas has decades of experience building and leading high-performance teams across Asia. Most recently, he has been advising organisations on APAC go-to-market strategy. His last leadership position was SVP, Asia Pacific and Japan at Qlik, the market leader in AI-powered analytics and data integration.

At Qlik, he transformed the APAC leadership team, including strategic new Country Manager placements in ASEAN, Japan, ANZ and India. He also reset the go-to-market strategy with a stronger industry and vertical focus, something that Infor will have appreciated.

Thomas has decades of experience building high-performance teams across the Asia Pacific and helping customers drive breakthrough business outcomes. Prior to joining Infor, he spent six years growing Qlik’s business in APJ. Thomas also held senior leadership positions at Microsoft, Juniper Networks, Polycom and OneLogin.

Thomas said, “Infor’s dynamic and fast-growing customers rely on our solutions to make their business more resilient, efficient and innovative. I am passionate about the APJ market as it represents a huge opportunity to help organisations in the region achieve their strategic goals and unlock real business value through industry-specific innovation. I am confident we have the right team and resources in place to help our customers succeed.”

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

In a few short months, Thomas has joined Infor and restructured leadership within the region. What is slightly unusual is that he has not, so far, seemed to appoint people from outside the organisation that he has previously worked with. Instead, he has promoted existing leaders to positions with more authority. This provides a continuation within Infor that is often lacking when firms change sales leadership.

It will be interesting to see how he now moves forward in a region where the ERP software market size was valued at US$24.8 billion in 2024 and is projected to grow to US$ 30.5 billion by 2025. The industry is expected to continue its growth trajectory, reaching USD 63.6 billion by 2030, with a CAGR of 15.83% from 2025 to 2030. Source: (NMSC)
