The investigation began after a student approached the school’s new SRO and said Hanson had been sending nude photographs of herself to students. The student added that Crombie, the previous SRO, had taken reports from other students about Hanson.
However, police weren’t able to find any report filed by Crombie, court documents state.
Authorities determined that Hanson added students on Snapchat, where she would send them nude photos of herself and ask if they wanted to engage in sexual acts.
When speaking to the BCA, Crombie claimed he told one student he talked with that he didn’t believe him and ultimately did not collect evidence, nor did he see any proof from the students he talked to.
However, Hanson told police that when Crombie approached her about the situation, she told him “everything.”
She added that Crombie said he was going to “do her a favor” and was going to “let the case go.” The two then began a relationship afterwards.
Crombie’s case is still pending in Rice County.
