INDIANAPOLIS — Central Indiana Cycling will host the annual Indy Swap Meet on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026 at Arsenal Tech High School, continuing a winter bicycling tradition that organizers say dates back to 1973.

The swap meet will run from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Moon Hall at Arsenal Tech High School, 1500 E. Michigan St. According to a news release, vendors from across Indiana and other Midwestern states are expected to sell used bicycles, parts and accessories, with 90 vendor tables planned and a large bicycle corral featuring used and unique bikes.

Central Indiana Cycling was formed in 2025 when the Central Indiana Bicycling Association merged with Bike Indianapolis, organizers said. The group said it is continuing the swap meet as a social gathering for riders of all kinds — from antique bicycle collectors to racers and casual riders.

The event is also raising funds for Arsenal Tech music programs for a second year, according to the release, with the school’s band scheduled to run a concession stand. Organizers said a new “Best in Show” award will be selected by attendee voting.

After the swap meet, organizers said a group will head out for a slow, social ride on nearby multiuse trails and side paths, followed by refreshments at Yazsh Cafe and Bistro on Michigan Street.

Additional bicycle-related organizations will host information tables, including Bicycle Indiana, the CIBA Foundation and Freewheelin’ Community Bikes. The Indianapolis Department of Public Works will also have a table with information about the updated Marion County Greenways Plan, according to the release.

Organizers said the swap meet is volunteer-run, with 23 volunteers signed up to help with event operations, including setup, check-in, the bike corral and the post-event ride.

“The Indy Swap Meet is a giant garage sale for all things bicycling,” organizer John South said in the release. “We’ve been doing this since 1973, and it is a Central Indiana tradition. You’ll find unique bike parts, cool gear, and used bikes at great prices.”

Tony Cherolis, executive director of Central Indiana Cycling, said the event is meant to keep the tradition going while supporting community programs.

“Beyond bikes and parts, this is an opportunity for our community to network and see friends,” Cherolis said. “This event raises funds for Arsenal Tech music programs and for the Bright Bikes Fund, getting bike lights to low-income riders.”
