BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — February 3, 2026
Former U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator and White House climate advisor Gina McCarthy is scheduled to speak Thursday evening at Indiana University as part of a public forum hosted by campus science and environmental groups.
The event, titled “Advocating for the Environment as if our Future Depended upon it: A Conversation with Gina McCarthy,” is set for 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, in the Sherman Minton Moot Court Room at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, located in Baier Hall at 211 S. Indiana Ave., Room 123. Organizers said the talk is free and open to the public.
The forum is being presented by Concerned Scientists @IU in partnership with Advocates for Science @IU and the Environmental Law Society, according to an announcement circulated to the campus community.
After McCarthy’s remarks, the program will continue with an informal conversation with Janet McCabe, a former deputy administrator of the EPA and director of the IU Environmental Resilience Institute. McCabe is currently a visiting professor at the IU McKinney School of Law and the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, the announcement said.
