Rockford aldermen pass $200,000 subsidy for new McDonald’s on W. State Street

After weeks of uncertainty and a debate over whether taxpayer funds should help a national food chain, the Rockford City Council voted 9-4 Monday night to approve a $200,000 economic incentive for a planned McDonald’s at 4103 W. State Street.
