PSP: One ejected from, trapped under truck in chain-reaction crash
TANK – One person was ejected from a truck and trapped underneath in a chain-reaction crash on Interstate 80 in Black Creek Township Monday afternoon.
State Police at Hazleton said the crash happened around 3pm on Interstate 80 Westbound near milepost 251.
A crash occurred near the 250 milepost, causing a backlog.
A tractor-trailer jackknifed as it tried to stop for the backlog, striking another truck and ejecting its driver before striking a stopped third truck.
The ejected driver was found trapped underneath the truck and had to be rescued and taken to Geisinger Medical Center near Danville.
All others involved had minor or no injuries, troopers said.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call State Police at Hazleton at 570-459-3890.
