A new retail development planned to open summer of this year in downtown Cotter was the topic of discussion of a recent zoning meeting with a public hearing planned for February 16.
The project, led by State Representative and Cotter resident Jason Nazarenko, is called Outside the Box and is planned to be an open air boutique shopping plaza built from repurposed shipping containers. The location is down the block from Cotter City Hall along Second Street between McLean and Combs Avenues.
At a City Planning and Zoning meeting on Thursday evening an issue was brought up with an existing alley way that runs through the site and at this time has not been surrendered to the development.
Cotter City Attorney Roger Morgan, who attended Thursday’s meeting, shared with KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News the issue that was discussed.
