Mountain Home Christian Clinic receives $10,000 grant for dental program upgrades

The Mountain Home Christian Clinic has received a $10,000 grant from the Arkansas Community Foundation that will support upgrades and ongoing operations for the clinic’s dental outreach program.
Executive Director Brandi Sharp said the grant comes at a critical time as the clinic enters its 26th year of service and works to modernize aging infrastructure, particularly within its dental program.

KTLO News spoke with Sharp who says the funding will be used to upgrade the clinic’s dental information technology systems.

The clinic’s dental outreach program, which primarily focuses on extractions, serves one of the community’s greatest unmet healthcare needs. Sharp said the clinic treated more than 100 dental patients in 2025, but demand far exceeds current capacity.

Sharp said the Arkansas Community Foundation grant will help the clinic continue rebuilding and expanding its dental services following disruptions during the COVID-19 pandemic. “We’re just very thankful they chose us,” she said.

The Mountain Home Christian Clinic provides free medical, dental, vision, pharmacy and mental health services to uninsured and underinsured patients. Additional outreach services include laundry and shower facilities, a food pantry, pediatric diaper assistance and spiritual counseling. The clinic operates entirely through community donations, volunteer support and grants.
