Now is the time to make sure your budget includes your biggest expense of the year.
“Plan for some big-ticket items, whether it be home improvements or a vacation,” said Pete Eckerline, managing director-financial advisor at RBC Wealth Management.
To do that, look at your budget.
“It’s a great time of year to start out to take a look at, first of all, your balance sheet,” Eckerline said.
He says if you budget for things that cost a lot early, you can adjust the budget accordingly and help you plan for the day-to-day expenses.
