Grass Valley, Netgear Partner On Enterprise Media Solutions

Grass Valley and Netgear Inc. have formed a partnership aimed at the enterprise media market, combining IP networking hardware with software-defined production tools.

The collaboration is designed to serve the broadcast AV segment, including corporations, universities, houses of worship and esports venues. These organizations often require broadcast-quality production capabilities but have historically been limited by high costs and technical complexity, the companies said.

The partnership focuses on interoperability based on industry standards including NDI, SMPTE ST 2110, Dante, and SRT. By integrating Netgear AV’s live media optimized switching with Grass Valley’s AMPP (Agile Media Processing Platform), the companies aim to simplify the production, management and distribution of high-quality content.

“The enterprise media sector represents one of the fastest-growing opportunities in our industry, yet these organizations have been forced to choose between consumer-grade tools and broadcast systems designed for major networks,” said Matthew Yates, director of strategic alliances for Grass Valley.

Yates added that the pairing of cost-effective Netgear hardware with Grass Valley’s software allows these organizations to deliver video experiences that match modern broadcast productions while maintaining flexibility.

Laurent Masia, senior director of product line management at Netgear, said the partnership aligns with the needs of enterprise customers seeking reliable and scalable video operations.

“Netgear has long focused on making high performance AVoIP networks easy to deploy and manage,” Masia said. The move comes as more non-traditional broadcast entities shift toward live streaming and professional-grade internal communications, requiring infrastructure that can handle heavy data loads without the friction traditionally associated with live media workflows.
