A woman has been sentenced to 35 years in prison for killing a 76-year-old in Faribault.

Arlene Theresa Bell, 34, was given credit for 698 days already served. She pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in December.
Investigators say Bell stabbed, strangled, and bound 76-year-old Gary Lehmeyer in February 2024 before taking his van and heading south to the Mexico border.
Lehmeyer was physically disabled and had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s about a decade earlier.
