Whiskey Myers Announce Joint Tour With The Black Crowes, ‘Southern Hospitality’

These days, you don’t have to look very far to find some of the best country and southern rock groups. In a way, it’s all the rage with the likes of Koe Wetzel, Treaty Oak Revival, The Red Clay Strays, 49 Winchester and more all existing at various intersections of the two genres to great success. While you can’t go wrong with any of the aforementioned groups, there’s arguably no one doing it better right now than Whiskey Myers.

It should go without saying that they’ve been one of the forefathers of this modern southern rock renaissance we’ve seen pop up over the past few years, beginning all the way back in 2011 with their debut album, Firewater, which features their smash hit, “Broken Window Serenade” as well as other career staples such as “Ballad Of A Southern Man” and “Virginia.”

2025, in particular, has been quite a big year for the East Texas band. After a three-year album hiatus, they returned with the release of arguably their most genre-pushing project to date, the Jay Joyce-produced Whomp Whack Thunder, which not only drew high praise from fans and critics alike but also produced career-best tracks such as “Rowdy Days” and “Icarus.”

And it looks like they’re going even bigger in 2026.

Just announced, Whiskey Myers will be hitting the road in 2026 with none other than The Black Crowes on a joint tour aptly titled, Southern Hospitality. Additionally, the two stellar bands are bringing along none other than the severely underrated Southall, fresh off their re-release of their 2015 debut album, Six String Sorrow, which the East Texas band appeared on.

The Southern Hospitality Tour will begin on May 17th in Austin, Texas, before wrapping up the lengthy, 40 show run in Mountain View, California, on August 20th. Along the way, they’ll hit the likes of New York City, Nashville, Detroit, Denver, Houston, Toronto, Dallas and more on the lengthy set of shows. Out of all of the 40 shows, the biggest one will undoubtedly be their first-ever time headlining the Hollywood Bowl on August 17th, along with Tedeschi Trucks Band in a special appearance on the tour.

If you’re somehow unfamiliar with the Black Crowes, they’ve undoubtedly been one of the most consistent rock bands of the past four decades. After scoring early hits in the 90s with tracks like “She Talks To Angels,” “Remedy” and their cover of Otis Redding’s “Hard To Handle,” they’ve continued their success into the 2020s, recently scoring their second-ever Grammy nomination at this week’s award show for Best Rock Album (Happiness Bastards).

In the Instagram caption announcing the tour, Whiskey Myers would note just how big of an influence the Crowes were early in their career.

“The Black Crowes were a big influence early on for us because they did it their own way. Needless to say this tour will be special and we can’t wait to see y’all out there.”

Presale will begin on Tuesday, February 3rd at 10 a.m. local time for paid members of Whiskey Myers’ mobile app with an additional wave of presales beginning on the same day at 12 p.m. local for members of their fan club. Additionally, Citibank, the official card of the Southern Hospitality Tour, will offer cardmembers presale opportunities beginning Tuesday, February 3rd at 12 p.m. local time until Thursday, February 5th at 10 p.m. local time through the Citi Entertainment program. Finally, general sale will begin on Friday, February 5th at 10 a.m. local.
