“Deceptively Slick”: Baxter County Sergeant Warns Drivers of Road Conditions

Baxter County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Mike Holland spoke with KTLO News Sunday morning about overnight conditions and what drivers can expect on area roadways.

Holland said deputies responded to numerous vehicles that had slid off the roadway overnight as slick conditions developed. He noted that roads can be deceptively dangerous.

Authorities are advising motorists to avoid travel unless absolutely necessary. If drivers do become stranded, Holland said response times may be delayed due to conditions and urged those in need of assistance to call for help.
