Falls, who lists an address along County Road 390, appeared on a video hookup between the courtroom and jail. When he appeared on the same hookup January 12, Falls was controlled, spoke in a normal tone and showed no signs of the behavior that had manifested itself during his initial appearance.
He was arrested January 3 when Mountain Home police responded to the loading dock area at the local Lowe’s store regarding a male making threats and trying to take over an occupied 2012 Ford Expedition.
The victims told police that before Falls fled on foot into a wooded area near the nearby Home Depot location, he had repeatedly lifted his jacket making them fearful that he was armed.
After the incident, police located a male, later identified as Falls, walking eastbound and ordered him to stop and take his hands out of his pocket. He refused the commands and was reported to have begun shouting.
One of the responding officers was eventually able to intercept Falls and take him into custody.
Falls, who is charged with criminal attempt to commit robbery, disorderly conduct and fleeing on foot, is being held in the Baxter County Detention Center with bond set at $15,000.
