Carrom 3D has a slick gameplay which is ably supported by its beautiful graphics. In fact, the authenticity of the visuals makes you feel as if you are actually playing Carrom. The controls of this board game are fairly straightforward and can be understood very easily. You can get a better understanding of these controls by playing the tutorial. This tutorial comprehensively explains the different aspects of the game and also shows you how each control works. You can move the striker when it is in the ‘Move’ mode from side-to-side on your half of the board. Double-tapping on the striker gets you in the ‘Strike’ mode in which you can take aim and shoot the striker at the piece of your choice. The striker returns to the ‘Move’ mode after a striker is made.
This board game provides multiple game modes to you. There is a Machine mode in which you go up against AI players. In this mode, you are offered three difficulty levels. These difficulty modes include beginner, intermediate and expert. The beginner mode is for people who have just started playing the game while the intermediate and expert modes are for experienced pros. Carrom 3D provides a Human mode to you too. In this mode, you can compete with another human player by sharing your device with them. You will go first and after your turn is finished, the other player will get the striker. There is a Network mode available if you wish to go up against online players. You will have to join a network to play, though.
Carrom 3D allows you to change the view of the board to have a better look at the position of the pieces. You have two viewing modes available which allow you to tilt the board by swiping vertically and move the board by swiping horizontally. This gives you the chance to get a better idea of where to place the striker to get the piece in the desired pocket. You can also zoom into the board by double-tapping on the board itself. This will also provide you a better look at all of the pieces and decide where you can pocket them. The zoom option can be activated by pinching as well. Do remember that in order to get the queen, you need to pocket another piece as cover immediately after pocketing the queen.
