HEALTH ALERT: Salmonella outbreak linked to ‘Live it Up Super Greens’ powder

People should toss their “Live it Up Super Greens” powdered supplement following a multi-state salmonella outbreak linked to the product. The company and the FDA have recalled it, saying people should not eat, sell, or serve it and clean counters the powders touched.

The recall includes the original and wild berry flavors, with lots beginning with the letter A. It also includes all stick packs. The expiration dates for the impact items are 08/2026 to 01/2028.

The powdered supplement is sold by the retailer on their website as well as on Amazon, eBay, and Walmart.

So far, there have been 45 cases of salmonella among 21 states. Of those 45 cases, 12 people were hospitalized.

In Minnesota, three cases of Salmonella were linked to the product, the state’s Department of Health says. All three were adults, one landed in the hospital, but all have now recovered.

In Wisconsin, 11 cases have been reported, with two of those people requiring hospitalization, the state’s Department of Health Services says.

Customers who have bought one of the Live it Up items included in the recall can request a refund by emailing the company at recall@artofenso.com. Details need to include the customer name, order number, and a photo of the product.

Salmonella usually occurs 12 to 72 hours after eating contaminated food. Symptoms include diarrhea, fever and cramps, which can last four to seven days. However, more severe infections can happen for kids under the age of five, elderly people, and anyone with a weakened immune system.
