Proposed McDonald’s on West State faces opposition from Rockford officials
A proposal to use $200,000 in public funding to support a new McDonald’s restaurant on West State Street is heading to the Rockford City Council this week.
The Rockford City Council did not approve funding for a new McDonald's on West State Street, money the developers claimed was needed to make the project a reality. Council members ultimately postponed a final decision on the project.
