Footprints lead to wanted Ashland man in the woodlands
ARISTES – An Ashland man is locked up after police say he fled a domestic incident and responding officers tracked fresh footprints in the snow to find him.
Joshua Daum, 37, of Ashland, was taken into custody Saturday morning in the woodlands near Aristes, according to State Police at Bloomsburg.
Troopers said they were called to a domestic incident near Aristes in Conyngham Township just before 10am.
The male involved, identified as Daum, had bench warrants from Carbon and Columbia counties, troopers said.
He fled before troopers arrived.
With the assistance of Locust Township Police, officers tracked fresh footprints in the snow about a mile into the woodlands where they found Daum, who had drugs and paraphernalia on him at the time, troopers alleged.
He was taken to the Columbia County Prison on a bench warrant.
