Cezanne launches AI-powered HR-specific content creators

Cezanne has announced the launch of AI-powered features for its HR and payroll platform. The three features are now generally available; they were in beta testing during 2025. Cezanne is currently testing a fourth feature, which will presumably be available later in 2026.

The three solutions are a Document Builder, Email Builder and Writing Assistance. Each of these features is now part of the core People Management module. That means they are not add-ons; that is, they are separately priced but available to all users. There are also no usage limits for the new features.

The new features sit alongside the manual processes; they mirror each other. Thus, giving users a choice about how to create the content. The solutions have been designed specifically with HR and the Cezanne platform in mind. They have been created using practical HR user cases, and feedback from the beta phase has been incorporated into the development process to refine the new capabilities.

It has meant that these features, now launched, should be immediately usable and beneficial for every HR user on the Cezanne HR platform. HR users control when and where they use AI, ensuring they remain in the loop.

By embedding AI directly into the platform, Cezanne removes friction from common HR tasks while ensuring HR teams remain fully in control of decisions, tone and final outputs.

Simon Noble, CEO at Cezanne, commented, “HR teams don’t need AI for the sake of it – they need practical support that genuinely makes their jobs easier and more satisfying.

“By working closely with customers during the beta phase, we’ve built AI tools that are genuinely useful, intuitive and aligned with the realities of modern HR.”

Document Builder

Assists with building and distributing personalised documents from the Cezanne platform. When creating a new document template, users can either do it manually or use AI to generate it.

If the AI feature is used, the user creates a name for the template, a description, where the merge fields should be sourced from (People Core data, People core data with compensation, or People core data with multiple compensation), and a natural language prompt.

The prompt should be as comprehensive as the user can create. Thus, enabling the AI to generate the appropriate template with merge fields. Once created, the user can review and correct. As edits are made, versions are created, enabling users to revert to older versions if required. Once completed, the text and

Email Builder

The email builder helps users craft professional, personalised email templates in a fraction of the time it previously took. The feature comes with pre-set prompts for welcome, recognition, probation, and anniversary emails. Users can create a prompt to create a custom email template of their choosing. Templates include merge fields that can get data from People’s core data fields.

Once created, the user can give the AI instructions to shorten, extend, or rephrase the content. It can check grammar and the tone can be switched between friendly and professional. Each variation creates a version that can be compared, and the best option chosen.

When sending an email, the template can be searched for and selected. The user can then select the recipients, and the email is sent using the appropriate information from the merge fields.

Writing Assistance

This tool helps users write to create and edit clear, engaging content. It saves time and reduces the risk of grammar or spelling errors. Wherever the user needs text created on the Cezanne platform, they can invoke the Writing Assistance. Once the initial text is created, the user can use the AI to extend, shorten, rephrase, or change the tone between friendly and professional, for example, when creating a bio.

Why add these features

Cezanne has focused on these features because they offer practical automation for HR users in the workplace. The decision to do this is backed by research. A 2025 Gartner survey revealed that 65% of employees are excited to use AI in the workplace, and 62% reported that AI has already saved them time.

A study conducted by the Stanford Institute for Human-Centred AI and the Digital Economy Lab backed this finding more generally. Respondents from the survey of 1,500 individuals welcomed automation as it would:

  • Free up time for higher-value work (69.4%),
  • Reduce task repetitiveness (46.6%),
  • Improve the quality of their work (46.6%).

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

The launch reinforces Cezanne’s focus on simplifying HR through thoughtful technology, delivering innovation that solves real problems and supporting its ambition to become the most trusted and loved HR and payroll platform on the market.

The Writing Assistance feature is useful. However, it currently seems to edit and enhance text rather than create it using generative AI. Perhaps in a future version, it could help HR teams create written reports, such as employee reviews, based on quantitative data stored in the system. It will be interesting to see how Cezanne develops these features moving forward.
