No injuries in Route 54 crash near Girardville
HOMESVILLE – No injuries were reported after a crash that closed Route 54 between Girardville and Ashland Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened around 2pm Saturday at Route 54 and Homesville Road in Butler Township.
A Chevrolet Caprice coming from Homesville Road crossed Route 54, striking a sign and becoming stuck on the embankment.
The driver was not injured, nor were two dogs in the car with them.
While the driver was interviewed by responding police officers from Butler Township and Ashland borough, Girardville firefighters gave the dogs shelter in a fire engine.
Route 54 was closed while the crash was cleaned up. Traffic was detoured via Homesville Road.
