Hotel fire in Bloomington injures 2 people

A hotel fire injured two people who were inside a Bloomington hotel building.

According to the Bloomington Fire Department, the fire was reported before 12:52 a.m. Sunday morning in the 7900 block of Lyndale Avenue.

The first department said the fire was contained to the second floor of the building.

Two civilians who were inside the building were injured due to the fire. One was treated at the scene, but the other was brought to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

An investigation into what started the fire is ongoing.
