Therapist in Bow charged with sexual assault
A pre-licensed therapist in Bow was arrested Monday after a months-long investigation into allegations that he sexually assaulted a patient.
In August, Bow police received a report that Daniel Thibeault sexually assaulted a female patient during an in-office therapy session, according to a press release from the Bow Police Department.
Thibeault was practicing independently on South Street in Bow, said police.
While the investigation remains active and ongoing, Thibeault has been charged with two counts of felonious sexual assault and one count of aggravated felonious sexual assault.
He is currently being held at the Merrimack County House of Corrections and has yet to be arraigned.
State records indicate that Thibeault was pursuing advanced certification or state licensure after completing his master’s degree, a process that requires supervised clinical experience.
Thibeault received a candidate clinical mental health counsel license in 2024, which was set to expire in May. Records show that his license has been suspended.
