News from the fortnight beginning 22nd December 2025

Happy New Year, and expect a flurry of news to emerge over the next couple of weeks, as the last two weeks of the year produced very little in the way of vendor updates. It appears that most organisations took the opportunity to have two weeks off work, with both press releases and other announcements at a record low.

Our own coverage during the period was minimal. Last week, Punkt unveiled the latest version of its security-first smartphone, the MC03. Announced at CES 2026 in Las Vegas.

Cybage Software

Cybage Software published several case studies over the last fortnight, about clients for whom it has delivered projects recently.

For a leading provider of EHR and medical billing software, it helped facilitate its migration to a flexible AWS Cloud Architecture. Cybage reimagined the client’s healthcare platform through a user-centric, cloud-first modernisation approach powered by design thinking and agile delivery.

It adopted a five-stage approach to solving the problem, researching the issues, migrating to reusable components, developing a new user interface, designing a microservices-based solution to enable modularity, faster enhancements, and seamless scaling and optimising existing workflows.

Cybage Software also helped a leading Dutch digital travel platform specialising in creating and customising travel packages. Cybage addressed scalability and integration challenges through a cloud-focused, agile delivery approach centred on speed, reliability, and collaboration.

It developed cloud-native supplier adaptors that scaled seamlessly on AWS, delivering 13 adaptors within one year and enabling rapid onboarding of new suppliers across geographies. The solution leverages reusable, standardised integration frameworks deployed in the cloud. It has accelerated supplier onboarding and ensured consistency across integrations.

For a Managed IT Services provider offering cloud, business IT, carrier, print/copy, phone, document management, communication, and A/V capabilities, it built a mature DevOps ecosystem on Azure. Cybage Software defined a multi-repository strategy with shared governance and branching standards, enabling parallel development across distributed teams.

It standardised YAML-based CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to enforce consistent build, test, and deployment practices across all repositories.

Cybage embedded the Azure Cost Analysis Monitor to provide ongoing visibility into monthly cloud usage and forecasted spend. It automated environment provisioning and deployments to ensure repeatable, low-risk releases across development, staging, and production. Finally, it implemented a Kubernetes-based deployment model using AKS, integrated with Azure Key Vault for centralised and secure configuration management.

Deltek

Southeastern Surveying & Mapping Corporation (SSMC)—a nearly 300-employee firm with offices throughout Florida, Alabama, and North Carolina revealed its journey with Deltek Vantagepoint. Rebecca Bess, Director of Administration/Counsel, and Sandra Young, Director of Finance, discuss their experience transitioning from Microsoft Dynamics to the Deltek Solution.

Deltek was evaluated and selected as a solution that required minimal customisation and would also help the firm scale its business with a distributed, remote workforce. Deltek Professional Services assisted with the implementation in 2020.

The firm now uses Vantagepoint to track marketing initiatives, analyse wins and losses, document competitive patterns, and improve decision-making. Their CRM usage allows them to understand why they lost a pursuit, which competitors are gaining traction in a particular region, and how to refine strategies for future cycles.

This level of insight was impossible before Vantagepoint. It has continued to develop the platform, rolling out new functionality over the last few years and has no regrets about its decision.

Zoho also announced a new one-click migration from Postmark and SendGrid to ZeptoMail. Zoho continues to enhance Zoho Payroll India. It has added support for Contractor Payroll within the application. Organisations can now onboard, track, and pay contractors alongside employees—all from a single, unified payroll platform.
