Two people are dead after a crash on Highway 71 in Stearns County on Friday night.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol report, the crash happened at 5:13 p.m. on Highway 71, near 265th Street in Lake George Township.
Two vehicles, a Dodge Durango and a Kia Sportage, were traveling in opposite directions on Highway 71 and collided in a head-on crash near an intersection.
Each vehicle had one person, the driver, in the car. Both were killed. 63-year-old Linda Erickson of Sauk Centre was driving the Kia Sportage and 55-year-old Paul Matthys of Osakis was driving the Dodge Durango.
The crash report says that both were wearing their seatbelts, and the road was dry at the time of the collision.
