A Stone County man arrested in November for child porn has picked up additional charges at the investigation continues. Forty-eight-year-old Kris Aaron Copeland of rural Mountain View is now facing ten felony counts of video voyeurism.According to the probable cause affidavit from the Stone County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation into Copeland started in April following a tip about child pornography being uploaded from an IP address in Stone County.

After months of investigation, the device and corresponding IP address were traced to a residence on Herpel Road.

Copeland was arrested last month on two felony counts of distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child. His was released after posting $25,000 bond.

As the investigation continued, detectives searched phones and computers they confiscated after executing a search warrant at Copeland’s residence. Photos of an underage female were discovered that were taken in a residence. It was noted the camera or recording device was hidden behind something.

It’s also noted in the affidavit Copeland lives with a teenage female and investigators have reason to believe she is at risk in his presence.

A total of 10 images were found but investigators say their data review is not complete.

Copeland is being held in the Stone County Jail with bond set at $75,000.
