The current Christmas day high temperature record dates back just over a hundred 100 years when in 1922 the high was recorded at 73 degrees. A review of the last ten years of weather data shows an average high on December 25 of 48 degrees with the coldest Christmas in ten years back in 2022 with a high of 26. The warmest Christmas day in 10 years was 2021 with a high of 72.
Kelly says that conditions in the Pacific are contributing to this year’s above average temperatures.
