Strong winds cause widespread power outages

Strong winds are being credited with wide spread power outages across the Twin Lakes area Thursday evening.

As of 9 p.m. North Arkansas Electric Cooperative was reporting 4,583 members without power. In Baxter County 2,429, Marion County 116, Fulton County 797, Izard County 999, Sharp County 1045.





Entergy Arkansas was reporting 1,167 without power, in Marion County 1,172, Izard County showed 505 and Sharp at 606.

Reports of downed transmission lines are being reported as utility crews work to restore power area wide.
