BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025 — Forty bicycles and helmets were given to children Thursday night at the Crestmont Boys & Girls Club, donated by Bloomington attorney Ken Nunn with help from retired Bloomington firefighter Lee Chapman.
Children from the Bloomington and Ellettsville Boys & Girls Clubs were selected to receive the gifts. The giveaway marked the 15th year Nunn has purchased bicycles and helmets for local children as a Christmas gift.
Chapman said more than 500 bicycles have been donated during the program’s 15-year run. He said Harris Services helped transport the bicycles, and Walmart provided a discounted price on the 40 bikes and helmets.
Vicki Nunn, members of the Nunn family, and employees of the Ken Nunn Law Office attended the event.
The bicycles were lined up behind a curtain, which was raised to surprise the children. Kids then searched for bicycles labeled with their names. Some immediately began riding around the gym, with parents and Boys & Girls Club staff helping a few children get started, while others took off on their own. One child repeatedly popped wheelies.
