Ridgewood Public Library Earns Recognition in Best of 2025 Awards

Ridgewood Public Library got a nomination for Best of 2025. A resident, Betty Friedel, submitted the nomination through a Patch and T-Mobile series that shines a spotlight on people, places, and moments that made the year better in town.

Friedel pointed to what the library offers. Book discussions happen there. Jane Austen events drew crowds. They host learning events. Movie screenings featured films from the United States and other countries. The building offered chances to take part in bigger conversations about the world, serving as a “home away from home,” she wrote, according to Patch.com.

Staff members also provided technical help to residents who needed it. Matt and Sarah taught Friedel how to convert photos to online images during one session. Author visits brought writers to meet readers, and new book acquisitions gave people access to fresh reading material throughout the year.

Friedel expressed thanks for the instruction on organizing photos. She appreciated learning to keep up with technology. She mentioned how staff members work to make these resources available to the public.

The nomination praised how Ridgewood shows warmth. Friedel said the town demonstrates care toward seniors.

The Best of 2025 series invites residents to share their picks. People can choose businesses that made a difference in their lives this year. Patch partnered with T-Mobile to bring the recognition program to communities as 2025 comes to a close.

The library keeps offering programs and services to residents in Ridgewood. Staff members work to provide access to books, films, technology training, and discussion groups for people of all ages.
